City of Vernon employees placed on a leave without pay

Today, January 14, 2022, Will Pearce, CAO of the City of Vernon unjustifiably placed all unvaccinated employees on a leave without pay for 3 months. This has left healthy, hardworking families in our community to struggle without financial aid because they chose not to inject themselves with an experimental drug. These employees most often work alone in an outdoor setting and were not a health risk to anyone! The City of Vernon has not reported any Covid-19 outbreaks in the past two years and shows a very high vaccination rate amongst their staff. Will Pearce doesn’t care about the health and safety of his employees rather tyranny and coercion. He’s driving up unemployment rates in our City by taking away the livelihoods of longterm employees who have dedicated many years to the City of Vernon.
