After conversations with the district, the schedule has been adjusted so that students will now be able to participate in both the Reading Bowl and Honors Chorus. This change ensures that students are no longer forced to choose between two major academic opportunities they have spent months preparing for.

While unexpected circumstances like weather disruptions are unavoidable, this outcome shows that thoughtful scheduling adjustments are possible—and that student effort and commitment matter.

This petition was never about one student. It was about fairness, access, and recognizing the hard work of all the kids involved. Because of your support, many students who were facing the possibility of dropping out of one program will now be able to fully participate in both.
