The meeting agenda for the council meeting on August 24 is out. Council staff are recommending that we proceed with a Rail Trail! The reports that were commissioned show that it is not possible to have a trail that runs next to the tracks due to the tunnels, cuttings and embankments. 

The only option is either a Rail Trail, or continue to do nothing and let the tracks and bridges rot away.

Please keep sharing the petition. We only need 346 more signatures to get to 5000! 5000! That is an amazing result. When I started this petition, I thought I would get a couple of hundred people to show their support for the Rail Trail in Byron Shire. The response has been overwhelming!
