In October 2021 hundreds of parents of students of the English School signed a petition by which they, among others, expressed their full support to the efforts of the new management of the School and in particular the Headmaster Mr David Lambon to improve the standard of education at the School in line with ISI Report of 2016.

These efforts, however, are being thwarted by members of the Board of Management of the School who refuse to approve measures that are essential to restore the academic standard of the School going forward.

As parents of the students of the school and those who provide the funding for the school:

a. We reiterate our full confidence and support to the headmaster Mr David Lambon and to his efforts to implement the reforms that are essential for the School’s future,

b. We call upon the members of the Board of Management to take every action necessary to continue the implementation of these reforms,

c. We call upon any member of the Board of Management that is not willing to support the implementation of such reforms to step down otherwise we call upon the Council of Ministers to exercise their powers to remove such member from the Board,

d. We call on all members of staff to cooperate with the Headmaster and the Board of Management to implement the reforms,

e. We call upon the Board of Management to ensure that the reforms must also take into account the need to take action to control the spiralling teaching staff costs which have resulted in continuous unwarranted and unjustified increases in the school fees.
