Saffrine Duggan will make the more than 500km round trip to Canberra next week to speak with MPs and Senators about her husband’s case, and to call for his release before Christmas.

Forced to be a single mother of six, Saffrine has to pay for extra fuel, accommodation, food and parking to plead with politicians in Canberra to help her secure the release of Dan, after more than two years in maximum security with no Australian charges.

If Dan is not released, this will be the 3rd Christmas he misses with his wife and 6 children. He endured over 19 months in solitary confinement and missed being there for the death and funeral of his mother, his eldest daughter beginning university, the high school graduation of his twin boys, countless sporting events, academic achievements, hospital visits and illnesses, birthdays and life changing family moments – all without facing a single charge in Australia, and without the US charges being tested in court.

The US has seized the family property that Saffrine still pays rates on, but she has to watch from afar as it falls into disrepair. How much suffering will the Australia government continue to allow this Aussie family to endure.  The Attorney-General has not met any of the Duggan family.
