Thank you again for signing our petition. We want to let you know that Chief Batton’s communications specialist informed us that the Choctaw Tribe has received our petition. Additionally, we were told that the Choctaw Tribe is in the process of creating several committees to explore Choctaw Freedmen citizenship. This is great progress, and we look forward to engaging with them on it soon. Also, we want to let you know that we are in the process of creating a website and Facebook page. When it is ready, we will be sure to let you know.

President Biden designated Monday, October 11th as Indigenous People Day. Considering that step forward let’s continue to push for the Freedmen’s proper place amongst this historic occasion. Thank you again for your support and we look forward to working with you on this important matter.

Best regards,
