Against all odds, he succeeded in restoring the river's beauty and health in just ten months. However, during Dussehra, the locals once again polluted the river, undoing much of Bittu's hard work. Now, he's losing hope, feeling that his efforts are in vain. This petition is personal to me because I cannot stand by and watch this young crusader, a beacon of hope and change for our community, lose faith in his mission.

Bittu's story is a testament to what one person can achieve with determination and a love for the environment. His journey began with a simple yet profound vision: to clean the Ajnar river, which flows through our beloved Bhind district. Despite having no support initially, his perseverance saw him overcome immense challenges—from removing tons of plastic waste to mobilizing limited resources for cleaning efforts. And within ten months, Bittu brought the polluted waters back to life, offering our riverside communities a healthier and happier environment.

But his battle is far from over. The recent Dussehra celebrations, while joyous, have sadly led to a neglect of our civic responsibilities, with waste and pollutants re-entering the river in alarming quantities. Bittu stood alone, deprived of the support his noble cause deserves, and watched as the river, once again, began to falter under the weight of human carelessness.

We are now at a critical juncture. It's time for us as a community to wake up and bring about lasting change. We can no longer rely solely on Bittu's efforts. It is our collective duty to adopt a responsible attitude towards our environment, and in turn, support Bittu by actively participating in keeping the Ajnar river clean.

This recognition should come not only in words but through action—by establishing a community river-cleaning initiative.
