Support Awareness for Soul Murder Victims so we can make it a crime.
The Issue
From common civilians like Victoria Martens and myself to celebrities like Jennette Mccurdy, soul murder is real and it needs to be a crime. "To abuse or neglect a child, to deprive the child of his or her own identity and ability to experience joy in life, is to commit soul murder. Soul murder is the perpetration of brutal or subtle acts against children that result in their emotional bondage to the abuser and, finally, in their psychic and spiritual annihilation." - Soul Murder: The Effects of Childhood Abuse and Deprivation Written by Dr. Leonard Shengold
Psychological murder is VERY real - it can end as Murder or Attempted Murder; either way leaving the victim disabled or dead. It is the slow poisoning of a persons mind, life, body, career, family, community and total well being. It inevitably leads to a horrible place. It can lead to a person being imprisoned, framed, institutionalized or rendered mentally insane permanently.
As a collective we need to come together and have these tough discussions about "Taboo Mental Health." While it's great we are starting to become more aware of this epidemic in the past decade, we still don't have a full grasp of the horrific, insoluble situations that are easily generalized and swept under the rug.
- We need provide awareness to both professionals and our community in order to reduce stigma and place counter measures which will prevent this from happening as well as providing saftey/recovery for those that have survived.
- Restoring our relationships to the land and to eachother is a must for us to succeed in this relentless endeavor.
With the recent exposure of what's been going on in Hollywood and people of high power, there's no better time to make this way of being a crime.
Whoever's got the power should use it for the sake of the vulnerable. It's a code of honor, and that kind of honor is more important than any law or custom. There are things you just shouldn't do, even if there is no law against em. At the same time, they're might be stuff you should do, even if the laws say you shouldn't.
The moment we stop fighting for eachother, that's the moment we lose our humanity..
My goal is to reach as many people as possible to gain the attention of legislators so we can make this possible. On top of partnering with Rare Impact Fund, as well as reaching Jennette's team since her story resonates with this topic little does she know. But it all must start with us. The people.
