Support and stand by TSA agents! Money for the people not forPOTUS who shut down Gov!
The Issue
I have started this petition to strongly oppose the proposal to rename Palm Beach International Airport after Donald Trump.
At a time when many federal employees—especially Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers—continue to face financial uncertainty during government shutdowns, allocating approximately $5 million in taxpayer funds toward renaming an airport is both inappropriate and out of touch with the needs of working Americans.
TSA officers and other government workers have repeatedly endured delayed pay and financial strain through no fault of their own. These are essential workers who keep our transportation systems safe and functioning. If public funds are available, they should be directed toward meaningful support—such as establishing an emergency fund to ensure federal employees receive timely pay during shutdowns—not toward symbolic projects that do not improve people’s lives.
Additionally, naming a major public facility after a controversial political figure risks deepening divisions within our community. Public infrastructure should represent shared values and unity, not partisan recognition. Taxpayer-funded spaces belong to everyone and should reflect broad public support.
This proposal does not align with the priorities of many taxpayers, nor does it demonstrate responsible stewardship of public funds. It sends the wrong message to working-class Americans who expect their government to focus on practical solutions and economic fairness.
I respectfully urge decision-makers to reconsider this proposal and instead invest in policies and programs that directly support federal workers and strengthen our communities.
