Massachusetts caregiver and mom, Laura Craciun, is shattering the silence on the need for AOT in our state. Her 22 year-old son Nick is sitting in jail after committing several crimes related to his untreated serious mental illness. This is not humane or compassionate treatment for those who are too sick to know they need help. With Maryland passing their AOT legislation a few weeks ago and full support from their Governor, we are now one of the last two states standing without this lifesaving law.
