Hello All,

This is an update to let supporters know that NAMI MA has NOT been transparent with its members nor did they ask for input before sending a letter to our legislators in opposition to AOT legislation which can be found here. Families are the ones who know what is missing from our current system and what is needed. Our voices can no longer be ignored! Please reach out to your NAMI MA affiliate and let them know that you support bringing AOT to Massachusetts. You can find the information for your local affiliate here. In addition, contact NAMI MA at 617-580-8541 and let them know that your voice will no longer be silenced. We as caregivers must shatter the silence to ensure that our loved ones living with a severe mental illness will have access to timely treatment. Homelessness, incarceration, death, or cycling in and out of involuntary hospitalizations should never be an option over treatment in Massachusetts. Together we will make a difference!
