Libertyville Village Leaders have been debating a cannabis dispensary. Although there are passionate opinions on both sides of this matter, only 8 village residents weighed in during the December 13th Committee Meeting of the Whole meeting. 

It’s important that Village leaders hear from more voters on this matter as they determine the will of Libertyville voters. Since not everyone is comfortable weighing in public or via email, which would be subject to FOIA, a non-binding referendum has been proposed for the April 4th  Consolidated Election, at no cost to the village.

This petition has been created to give the Village Leaders insight into whether Libertyville residents support such a non-binding referendum 

Village Trustees will be voting on the non-binding referendum during the January 10th Village Board meeting. If you are a Libertyville resident and in favor of Libertyville voters being able to weigh in, pro or con, via a private, secure vote on a non-binding referendum, please sign this petition!
