Fellow animal lover,

Yesterday afternoon campaigners from The Humane League UK secretly joined an online conference session Morrisons was hosting about its digital & technology work.

Within the first 10 minutes, one campaigner asked a senior Morrisons executive, in front of 300+ delegates, why they were using comment blocking on social media as a digital tool to silence legitimate criticism for Morrisons' ongoing cruel treatment of millions of chickens. He refused to answer the question there and then, and our campaigners were forcibly removed from the conference.

But, there's a silver lining.

This morning, Morrisons has lifted the comment bans on its social media platforms! So now is our time to rise up and make our voices heard, for the animals.

Let's make sure their Facebook and Instagram pages are covered in comments asking them when they are going to do the right thing, stop treating chickens so badly, and sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment! Let's see whether they choose to continue silencing criticism, or if they take action to address their failings.

Take action!
