Sunshine Coast Wanderers, a representative football team competing in Statewide competitions involving over 300 Womens , Men’s , girls and boys , is urgently seeking a home ground to ensure the future pathway for local talent of the most popular team sport in Australia. Sunshine Coast Wanderers are a non for profit sporting team made up with local players from local community teams stretching from Noosa to Caboolture .  They have secured many local sponsors for the existing seasons including Sunshine Mitre Ten , and many local businesses rely on the club for advertising and promotions. They feature regularly on the local news bulletins and are very successful both on and off the field.

The Club is currently  sharing a ground with Buderim Wanderers football club (Ballinger road , Buderim ) .  The fields are supporting over 1000 people per week, and the lack of suitable training area is  directly impacting all programs associated with this facility.

With widespread funding to other codes , including the upgrade of Rugby league grounds at Maroochydore and the 2.8m upgrade committed to the already world class AFL grounds at Fishermans road, the lack of funding towards football (soccer) is unjustifiable and requires immediate action.

Football is a game enjoyed by boys and girls , and is non descrimatory between sex, race or size. The most popular game in the world and unfortunately the most underfunded sport per capita in Australia.  It is currently the most  popular team game for girls under 16 and the most popular sport for boys 14 and under.

We seek urgent help from all parties to help find a suitable venue to lease or use for the upcoming seasons of 2020 and beyond.

Please help football get the funding it has unjustifiably been neglected from in recent years.
