The Administrative Control Board of NSFD, UT has shown to be corrupt, power thirsty and toxic. They have  terminated a very competent fire chief for no reason, leaving the department without leadership and orientation. We have lost our medical director, due to the board canceling it, leaving the department with no ability to help our community during medical emergencies. They have repeatedly harassed and threatened the firefighters and created a very hostile work environment. They have shown how little they care about the volunteer firefighters and made false accusations towards them. They have hurt the reputation of the NSFD by telling the media, that the firefighters have boycotted the department and that they would not respond to calls.  They have attacked work licenses of different firefighters because they intentionally wanted to hurt them. They have in public meetings shown to be rude and disrespectful, not only to the firefighters but to the whole community. This board has destroyed our volunteer department within a very short time. There is no constructive communication, relationship or desire for teamwork. The board has hired PCFD after suspending our ENTIRE department for no reason and has signed a contract for an astronomical amount of money, that destroys the anual budget of NSFD. There also is a conflict of interest having a member in the board who is a full time worker with the administration of PCFD.  Additionally that member has had investigations run against her by NSFD in the past, because of her aggressive behavior. Therefore, we the people requested the termination of the entire board since they do not defend the interest of the people of North Summit nor the firefighters. They are not competent in their leadership and have left the entire NS area without proper, knowledgeable fire service. We cannot tolerate this anymore and fear for the safety of our community. Now they want to launch a new fire department, against the recommendations of several professionals who know what they do. A new board shall be appointed with the firefighters and communities involvement, in order to have honest and knowledgeable people from all areas of North Summit on that board, including areas like Tollgate which has no representation at this moment.
