Sugar Free Girl Scout Cookies

Sugar Free Girl Scout Cookies
The Issue
My name is Emi Fujii and I’ve been a Girl Scout for 8 years. Girl Scout cookies have a wide variety of choices. But, one type of cookie has not been made. That is a sugar free cookie. Many people globally have been diagnosed with diabetes.
At least one person at every single cookie booth I have worked has asked if we have cookies for diabetics. Sadly, every time i have to reply “No.”
Eight years ago, when I was five, my beloved grandmother passed away because of diabetes. She loved Girl Scout cookies so much that she kept eating them. In my opinion, I believe that if we had the option of a sugar free cookie, she would have been able to eat the delicious cookies with less risks.
A couple of years ago, while I was at a cookie booth, someone asked if we had sugar free cookies because he had recently been diagnosed with diabetes. I told him how I was writing this essay about how Girl Scouts should have sugar free cookies. He was so happy and excited that he actually bought a box to donate to someone. Even gave a donation as well.
In conclusion, I think the cookie council should consider making sugar free cookies for people with diabetes or on special diets. If a cookie like this was to be made, it would benefit us Girl Scouts and many others.
