With falling sales and closing stores. Subway has started testing Hawaiian King's bread in North America. This bread contains extremely harmful additives that are not used – and in some cases banned in other countries.

These additives like Azodicarbonamide which is mainly used as an agent in the making of rubber and yoga mats are all GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA, but it’s still unsettling that the same additives we’re eating are being used in non-food applications.

This is not the first time Subway is using bread with toxic additives and it’s time we demand Subway uphold its pledge - "We care about food. Where it comes from and how it nourishes us is just as important as how it tastes." And hold them accountable for the hypocrisy and exploitation of billions of individuals.
