Subway is testing an 8-inch sandwich made with King's Hawaiian bread in three U.S. markets. Most of us are excited about this new initiative by Subway. However, sadly the news isn’t exciting but horrifying.
The King's Hawaiian bread is made with an ingredient called Azodicarbonamide which is used mainly as an agent in the making of rubber, plastic foam, carpet underlay, and yoga mats. It is used as a food additive to bleach bread and help the dough rise. The chemical leads to asthma and might be carcinogenic and is banned throughout the world because of its effect on health.
