We must show the Mayor and Council of Penticton that they will have to share responsibility for skyrocketing home prices by not supporting quality new developments within Penticton's municipal boundaries.
Canadian Horizons is investing $100,000,000 in Penticton to create this quality Lake View Development on Spiller Road. Tax revenue from this development will help to pay for Penticton's new $350,000,000 hospital and many other services and amenities we are so fortunate to enjoy here.
Supporting this development will make housing more affordable for all as move up buyers will be selling their homes thereby opening up the market for first time buyers and buyers in all price ranges.
We must supply the tremendous need for housing now before home ownership becomes beyond the reach for many. Otherwise we are part of the problem in causing housing unaffordability. This master planned development has been planned and fine tuned for a decade now and conforms strictly to Penticton's Official Community Plan and all regulatory constraints. Now is the time to show City Council this is the right development at the right time and it meets their vision and the vision of the Community.
