A Second Chance For Kinsly Lanfranco’s Future

A Second Chance For Kinsly Lanfranco’s Future
The Issue
Greetings! My name is Kinsly Lanfranco, and I am an 18 year old Senior from Stamford High that was on track to graduate this year. I have the hope to get into a career that allows me to help and care for others, such as nursing or counseling. However, I fear that i will never get that chance. I currently in suspension as well as being pushed for expulsion. There’s also legal measures involved. I will not try to act like I do not deserve the disciplinary actions being taken against me, as I understand that I have broken the student code of conduct, and could have hurt some people. However, this is the first time in my academic life that i have gotten disciplinary action. I have always tried to treat everyone with the respect that they deserve, and i pride myself on trying to have a positive relationship with those around me. I have been dealing with my father’s medical issues, which include Diabetes and Dialysis treatment. I also have been dealing with my own physical and mental illnesses which have been wearing away at me. Having two chronically ill people in the family is a terror for our financial situation, which was already bad to begin with. The pressure of my father’s and my own health led me to try to take the corrupted easy path instead of being true to myself, which i very deeply regret.
Stamford High School is an excellent place. My friends and i have laughed, cried and grown within the walls of that lovely school. Many of my most appreciated memories have happened in Stamford High.
Please give me the opportunity to show you the person who I really am, and that our mistakes don’t have to be the end of us. Allow me to show you that things are not just black and white. Thank you for your time.
