At the start of this year, the supervisory and executive board announced their decision that the current rector & chairman will step down before the end of his term and that the third board member will not be re-appointed for a second term; her current appointment ends in August 2025. Coincidental or not, this news comes just before the Inspection is expected to publish its evaluation of plans and actions to improve social safety in our university.
As evidenced by the multiple reports and Delta articles, the current board members are related to the social safety issues in such a way that there is little to zero credibility that they are capable of solving these issues. Therefore, we wonder why they haven’t resigned as of today and remain as acting officials until the supervisory board has appointed new board members.
In our collective memory is the meeting on March 1st last year over the report of the Inspection in which the executive and supervisory board were in complete agreement. So the question remains: when will the supervisory board step down?
