Strike for Our Safety! Support A Permanent Hybrid Learning Option at UCLA!

The Issue

Pledge your support to the DSU and do NOT attend in-person on January 31st! Do not attend in-person classes on January 31st. Attend only online classes on this day.

UCLA's Disabled Student Union has been working tirelessly to advocate for permanent hybrid access to our education. Despite garnering nearly 30,000 signatures in support of our cause, UCLA and the COVID Response and Recovery Task Force still refuses to take action and protect its community. On Monday, January 31st, we are expected to return to classes fully in-person despite Westwood COVID cases being dangerously high and without any sort of online safety net.

We are staging a demonstration against the in-person attendance requirement on January 31st to tell UCLA that we will not learn or work under these unsafe conditions. All students and faculty deserve the right to learn and teach in the way that is best and safest for them.

"[Hybrid options] will not only benefit immunocompromised students, but students with dependents, commuter students, students who test positive, students who are exposed to COVID, students who live with at-risk family members, and numerous other groups."

Sign this petition to pledge yourself, your organization, or your classes to protest against UCLA's refusal to implement hybrid options.
