Greeting to all petition supporters,

The Hon. Ros Spence MP gave, via email, a response to the petition.

Within her email she highlighted how  the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), may assist, with some of the suggestions of this petition. Most notably around counselling or medical costs.  For more information about FAS and for those who may wish to pursue FAS; https://www.victimsofcrime.vic.gov.au/fas

However now comes what I actually intended with this petition.

My first and second dotted points are quite self explanatory. But I believe from the replies I am getting that people are confused on the third. We HAVE support networks like FAS available and I will personally do my  best to promote it, however, how many people KNOW of it. My entire family personally were out of the loop of this existing. Conversations I have had with other victims were also unaware of any supports existing at all in the post trial healing phase.

As we approach 350 signatures I would kindly ask all  who have any suggestions or ideas to please comment down their input.

What do you guys think will actually work? How can we support victims of crime post trial?

Thank you all for the ongoing support.
