Streetwise Legal is taking the fight to AARTO

Recent signers:
Chantell Hann and 19 others have signed recently.

The Issue

Streetwise Legal is officially challenging the constitutionality of the AARTO system — and every South African motorist needs to understand why.

Under the current AARTO framework:

The RTIA has 40 days to issue your infringement notice
Your 32-day response period begins 10 days after posting, regardless of whether you received the notice
This lack of required proof of receipt undermines your constitutional right to fair administrative action
For this reason, Streetwise Legal is now contesting all AARTO-issued documents, including:

Infringement notices
Courtesy letters
Enforcement orders
Warrants of arrest
With over 12 million motorists affected, this is not a small administrative issue — this is a national rights issue.

Streetwise Legal intends to challenge these notices in court on behalf of its members, advocating for a fair and constitutional process.

South Africa, the question is simple:
Will you stand with Streetwise Legal in demanding accountability and fairness, or wait and see what happens?

The time to defend your rights is now.
