In der Türkei steht ein Gesetz an, das die Tötung von Straßentieren betrifft. Dieses grausame und unfaire Gesetz würde nicht nur das Leben unzähliger unschuldiger Tiere bedrohen, sondern würde auch ein verheerendes Signal an die Gesellschaft senden, dass das Leben von Tieren nicht respektiert wird. Zudem hat dieses Gesetz sehr große Gesetzeslücken die das töten von Straßenhunden sehr vereinfacht auf jede Art und Weise.

Ein Gesetz, das ihre Tötung erlaubt, wäre ein massiver Rückschlag für die Tierschutzbestrebungen, die in den letzten Jahren sowohl national als auch international stattgefunden haben. Es ist unsere moralische Verpflichtung, für die Rechte der Tiere, die nicht für sich selbst sprechen können, einzutreten und sie vor Grausamkeit und Vernachlässigung zu schützen.

Stop the law on the killing of street animals in Turkey

In Turkey, a law is pending concerning the killing of street animals. This cruel and unfair law would not only threaten the lives of countless innocent animals, but would also send a devastating signal to society that the lives of animals are not respected. Furthermore, this law has huge loopholes that make it very easy to kill street dogs in any way possible.

A law that allows their killing would be a massive setback to the animal welfare efforts that have taken place both nationally and internationally in recent years. It is our moral obligation to stand up for the rights of animals who cannot speak for themselves and protect them from cruelty and neglect.
