Stop Yondr pouches
The Issue
The Yondr pouches aren’t fair to students. No matter how you put it, this isn’t right. We understand we struggle in school subjects but it’s not completely because of the phones. If we are being honest teachers and principals are on their phones more than students. When the issue is being brought up the response we get is “We are adults we have teacher and/or principal things we need to text about”. Which isn’t always true, as many times as we’ve seen these teachers and principals literally laughing at their phones it’s unacceptable. On top of that they’re one of many reasons of why we aren’t learning properly. Their deliverance is also an issue. We have to sit in the same classroom for an hour and thirty minutes listening to a lecture about lord knows what and when you’re talking like you’re bored and tired that’s the energy we receive and reciprocate. The pouches isn’t going to change our attitudes when it’s really the adult authorities that needs to change.
We also have learning difficulties. Most of our fellow classmates have ADHD and ADD which makes it hard for them to focus. We have people with anxiety whom can’t focus in a room full of people especially if it’s people who taunt them. We have people who struggle tremendously and don’t want to be in a class for a whole hour and thirty minutes because it stresses them out or triggers them mentally.
These pouches are causing an issue quicker than most kids have on the internet. Most of the issue is the fact that most of us don’t trust that the schools are going to call and inform our parents or guardians that something is wrong the only time they’re contacted is if we’re suspended, expelled, sick to the point it’s a danger to others, or being sent to an alternative school. Teachers say things that are rude and disrespectful and nothing is being said nor done about it but when the child retaliates then the school wants to get the parents involved.
That isn’t right we should be able to have our phones at all means because if the roles were reversed the pouches wouldn’t be forced or exist.
Most kids pay for their phones along with the bill with the money they get from their jobs, taking something they worked hard for is wrong.
