We had over 160 people attend our first multiplex town hall. Former Vancouver City Planner, Larry Beasley called the gathering the result of failed consultation by the City. But things are about to get worse, because Vancouver Council is voting on July 14 on the "Villages Plan" which calls for buildings of 6 - 8 stories in residential neighbourhoods. Entire swaths of the City are being up zoned to allow for apartment buildings in residential neighbourhoods. The plan has ZERO design guidelines and ZERO tree protections. Think the unintended consequences of multiplexes and amplify them.
