Chesapeake City Council:

The Citizens of Chesapeake and Neighboring Vicinities expect wise and respectful stewardship of our Chesapeake lands and natural resources, especially in the Rural District and along the Hwy 17/Dominion Boulevard Corridor area, to support and protect our irreplaceable fragile ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and our chosen way of life. 

We expect you to *STOP URBANIZING OUR RURAL LANDS*.  Period!

We expect 
IMMEDIATE REVISION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. 

We expect 
THE CITY TO ORDAIN THE ENTIRE DOMINION BOULEVARD CORRIDOR SOLELY FOR RURAL RELATED ENTERPRISES.  

Zoning Ordinances and City Council Agenda Items votes should fully reflect the Rural needs including:
•Agriculture-Related Ventures 
•Agritourism
•Equestrian-Oriented Focus
•Nature Conservation
•Wildlife Sanctuaries 
•Wetlands Preservation
•Natural Resources Protection 
•Reforestation
•Historic and Cultural Preservation 
•Homesteading
•Activities Best Suited to the Rural Way of Life
•Sparse Density Development on Larger Parcel Tracts
•Single Family Homes

The “Coastal Virginia Commerce Park” at the F.T.W. and Sons Farms property does not fit the best use of the land and is not good stewardship.  

The proposed development in this area is in absolute conflict with the points mentioned herein.
