*Subject: Small Town Corruption: Neighbor Uses "Farm" Loophole to Torture Me with 1000w Light*

Mr Brown AKA CCT Columnist,

I am having an annoying situation with a resident right behind my house.Our town council ruled in favor of my neighbor claiming "farm status" with:
    1 dog watched by him when outside
    No livestock
    No crops
    Living in a 3-story suburban house with a 1000 watt flood light mounted at third floor level

Shines a 1000w flood light directed at my home from third floor location evenings and early monnings.
6 times a week
Was 6pm -12am then 3am to 6am. After a year of complaing it is now 6:45pm to 10pm or 12pm with 3am to 5am 6 to 7 days a week. Varies

White n Blue light on every trees branch and soil from the side, back and out past front of his house, out along the sides and up to 50 feet past the front of my house. Top of trees that are 30 feet past front of my house!
Lite in half of basement, living room, dining room, kitchen, a bedroom, second floor bedrooms and bathroom to the point where i do not need to turn on a light to warlk around

Corruption suspected! Ignorance for sure!

In March 2024, my neighbor installed a 1000-watt floodlight on his 3-story house at third floor level, shining directly at and into my home from 100 feet away
Despite my repeated requests from family to that neighbor, also discussions with good neighbors on side of and front of my house that I have known. This resident has refused to move, dim, even limit time on with the flood light; claiming it was to protect his dog when he and it were outside in a wooded area

    1 dog 1 owner
    No livestock 
    No crops
    Havent seen a coyote for years

I've tried everything to resolve this:
    Contacted neighbor twice through other contacts
    Reached out to Town Hall, told to contact Police. Police told me to contact Town Halll.
    Filed complaint with Building department foe Town Hall (they ruled in his favor)
    Told to file appeal cost 6,000 for lawyer and 300 for evidence they will accept
    Filed for Tax reduction denied told Civil court for decision.
     But town made decision to allow this flood light to stay on!
    Notified the county commission and was told nothing they could do
    Contacted Attorney General, Governor, Representative, and local Senator
     with only response from Rep in regards to nothing can be done thanks to a by law for farmers protecting livestock

Town officials insist the light complies with loopholed bylaws for farming regulation from late 60s 70s. 
State laws restrict abusive lighting that has been going on here, and with other residents in this town I have talked with

I suspect corruption and would love your help exposing this absurdity!
