Too many people are waiting too long for life-saving cancer treatment. Please use this link to write to your MP and urge them to sign Tim Farron MP’s Early Day Motion, calling for the current government to deliver on its promise of a National Cancer Plan that brings meaningful change for patients.
On Wednesday, 2nd April we will be bringing representatives from the radiotherapy community to Westminster and we want as many MPs to hear from them as possible. Emailing your MP only takes a minute, and every email boosts our family’s campaign to ensure no patient faces unacceptable delays.
Unacceptable delays to treatment, like those faced by one of our #CatchUpWithCancer campaign supporters, Jeff Gibson. Jeff was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, and since then has been forced to travel long distances and pay privately for life prolonging modern radiotherapy that he has been unable to receive in Scotland. Read Jeff’s story here.
In the last decade alone, over 500,000 patients have faced delays in receiving the life-saving treatment they so desperately need. The ongoing cancer crisis in the UK means that we still have a long way to go to provide a high-quality and timely standard of care for patients who need it the most.
So please, help us make a difference by emailing your MP and urging them to sign the Early Day Motion and attend the APPG-Radiotherapy event on Wednesday 2nd April.
Best,
Craig & Mandy
