In a vital boost for UK cancer patients and radiotherapy services, the government has announced plans to invest £70million in new radiotherapy treatment machines.

Analysis by Radiotherapy UK shows that an estimated 25% of treatment machines will be out of date by the end of this year, in England alone, so this important news is a welcome first step.

Thanks to your support for Radiotherapy UK’s advocacy work and our #CatchUpWithCancer campaign over the past four years, we are finally seeing progress for cancer patients with the most significant investment in radiotherapy for a decade.
