Cancer waiting times are near record highs.  Ahead of World Cancer Day 2024, please email your MP using this link asking them to take action to ensure that cancer and the patients still waiting for treatment do not fall off the agenda.

Because, shockingly, recent NHS figures show that over 40% of cancer patients waited beyond the recommended 62-day treatment targets in just one month. The waiting times for cancer treatment are dangerously high and things will only worsen without immediate action or attention. 

Cancer will not wait. For every 4 weeks of delay in treatment, there can be a 10% increase in the chance of death. Ahead of this World Cancer Day, we are calling on the UK Government to introduce a new dedicated cancer plan. Without a plan, we worry that the cancer crisis, cancer patient outcomes and the cancer service in this country, will only continue to worsen.
