I, Nerisha Ivalani Fotu (Niu), have experienced an onslaught of harassment, bullying, threats, and terrorizing tactics by Plaintiff's Attorney Diane L. Ho and Commissioner William Buz Moffett. I've been subjected to these inhumane acts at my home, my workplace, my place of worship and in public areas. Requests to Stay/Hold my case at the Maui Family Courts while an appeal is pending in higher courts have been denied, fuelling a systemic failure that betrays the very purpose this institution was meant to serve.
It's important to know that I am a tragically vivid represent of the serious mismanagement and failure of our Family Courts located in Maui, Hawaii. I've become victim to severe anxiety, severe depression, emotional distress, fear, mental illness, chronic pain, fatigue, and a host of other symptoms, resulting from this constant maltreatment. The effects of this experience have left both my physical and mental health in shambles, demonstrating the horrific outcome of a lack of systemic accountability.
Our quest is to stop this inhumane approach being utilized to achieve legal victories, to place justice and fair representation at the forefront of our family courts and ensure that no other citizen experiences this torment.
