Dear Supporters,
It’s been a busy few weeks in the campaign to protect Crummock Water.
Last week, United Utilities announced that they are reviewing their flood risk figures for the Environment Agency, and are looking at the other objections, but they have not withdrawn their planning application, so we need to keep the pressure up! Can we reach 10,000 signatures by the end of the month?!
A Sunday meet up at Lanthwaite Wood beach on May 11 was a huge success, with more than 70 people attending including local residents, interested parties and swimmers. Organised by the Friends of Crummock, the event was well attended by press who enjoyed filming and snapping swimmers taking a cold dip in the sun.
We’re starting to get some great coverage including some very informative pieces by the local news website Cumbria Crack.

The irony of the threat to Crummock's water level in the worst early summer UK drought since records began can not be understated...
Thanks for your continued support. Please keep sharing!
Warmly, Hilary
