It has been a while since I updated all of you that took the time to sign this petition. All of the affected players and I are very grateful for your support.
After persistently emailing the Star over the last couple of months, a meeting has been secured with three of The Star executive team including The Star CEO, Group Chief Risk Officer and Group Chief Controls Officer.
My emails had been ignored for months, however finally to their credit, they have offered to meet with me and discuss our concerns and The Star Entertainment Groups recommended position.
The meeting is next week and I am hopeful that we can work out some type of a resolution. At the very least I will be asking to clarify the process so that players cannot be banned without reasonable grounds in the first place, EG. if there is any doubt, players are given an opportunity to explain, not just sent a WOL letter. Also the process that allows players that have received bans, EG. an opportunity for players to explain everything and have bans reviewed.
Just a reminder that this petition and response is specifically and only about the unexplained player bans, IE. There has been no explanation and players are completely unaware or only guessing to why they received a ban, and also being ignored by the Star compliance teams.
This obviously doesn't apply to any patrons that have been banned for reasons known to them or for reasons listed in the Casino Control Acts that gives the casino operator reasonable grounds, and these relate to dishonest acts, affecting or potentially affecting integrity, putting safety of others at risk, or engaging in unlawful acts.
Thanks for your support, I will stay optimistic and hopefully some positive updates will follow.
