I just wanted to update you on the situation even though there has been very little progress in terms of having the bans lifted or reviewed, but we are certainly not giving up!
The Star has just announced the WSOP Circuit returning to the Gold Coast 23 November to 5 December 2023, so this is the new target to have players given the opportunity to have bans reviewed and hopefully lifted in order for them to compete for WSOP Circuit Rings. One of these players actually won a WSOP Circuit Ring at the Star in 2022, represented The Star and Australian in the Tournament of Champions at the WSOP in Las Vegas this year.
I am also aware of quite a few other players being harassed about source of income at WPT Australia. As expected in such a prestigious high stakes series many of the players in attendance are professional players which is not a crime or something they should have to hide, and I am hoping there are no more players issued WOL’s on the back of that series.
I am still asking management of the The Star via email to provide steps or process to have bans reviewed, I'm not accepting that this is irreversible and nor should we or the players.
Thankyou,
Craig
