Like the title of this update says, this one has some stuff that I should’ve posted sooner. I would’ve done it earlier but real life problems got in my way such as COVID-19 (Don’t worry, I am safe from it as of this writing!), the pandemic that’s making my job more stressful than ever and some computer problems that hopefully won’t lead to anything worse, which is very ill-timed for me. (No pun intended.)
Anyway, sometime ago I came across this tweet of his. I’m going to quote it anyway:
“Apologies if my updates have been off-schedule. Things to do, mass hysteria, fun stuff. Regular schedule continues as planned from here on, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday”
Just like everyone else, COVID-19 has somehow put an effect on the life of Travis. (Sounds like he isn’t infected yet as far as we know.) But he is vowing that sometime soon, he will go back to his regular schedule completely on the Twitter account that he’s currently using most of the time. (DoubleComix) This may make an impact on his other accounts. (His other Twitter account known as Travis_Draws, his deviantART accounts, etc.) He may also make more tasteless hate “art” once his regular schedule resumes.
Since we’re on the subject of COVID-19, I just came across this other tweet of his. I’m going to quote this one as well:
“Take care of yourselves and don’t get sick”
And his tweet contains a disturbing image of an exaggerated sick person that he drew. Could this mean that he could make fun of COVID-19 at some point? If he does make fun of it in his hate “art”, it will show that he would fail to know better than to make fun of a serious issue that’s a literal matter of life and death. There’s already some jerks on social media platforms (Such as Twitter for example.) bragging about how they’re not infected by COVID-19 and that they will never get sick from it. They’re pretty much shaming those who are at risk, those who have been infected by it, those who have been recovered from it and those who have died from it. There’s even some white supremacists who would take advantage of COVID-19 by using it as a bioweapon. If Travis makes fun of it in some sense, he will be just as bad as those aforementioned jerks, no matter how hostile they are.
Everyone, we need to keep spreading the word about this, no matter how bad COVID-19 gets and how long this pandemic would last! Before you do spread the word, be sure to refer to the do’s and don’ts on sharing this petition!
