Recently, I’ve been reading the news about the Instagram staff deleting popular accounts that focuses on memes in general and that I’ve been seeing dozens of petitions made out to the Instagram staff to reinstate the recently deleted accounts. Although I have mixed opinions on this issue, which I won’t go into great detail, I think that they’ve should’ve left the meme accounts alone and to focus on banning individuals like Travis. (I believe that Twitter, Tumblr and of course, deviantART should do the same when it comes to people like him.) To me, this meme purge that happened recently just echoes the NSFW purge that happened to Tumblr late last year. Instead of banning all NSFW blogs, the Tumblr staff should’ve just gone after NSFW users that actually have done something wrong and to ban users like Travis. Instead, they didn’t bother to ban users like Travis. That and to take care of the NSFW issue the lazy way by banning all NSFW content, causing NSFW users who haven’t done anything wrong to migrate their content to other NSFW-friendly sites such as Twitter and Newgrounds.

Honestly, why must malicious people like Travis should be exempt from facing punishment of any kind for their actions when they really and obviously should?
