Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Get ready to SHOW UP at the Easton Planning Commission meeting, Wednesday AUGUST 6 at 6:30pm. City Council Chambers, Easton City Hall, 123 S 3rd St, Easton PA parking is on the street and in the lot behind the building - wear black in solidarity.
Easton Planning Commission is voting on:
- Recommendation to Easton Zoning Board on a special exception to regulations based on FEMA designated floodplains (agenda #7)
*The vote on Scannell's land development plan has been pushed to September 3 as per the amended agenda, attached.
This meeting is a BIG DEAL and we need everyone to show up, wear black, and bring a friend! The meeting (not including unassociated agenda items) will be recorded and/or live streamed, check IG of FB on Wednesday for details.
If you plan on making any public comments there will be time to speak on the floodplain issue. Please prepare your comments ahead of time, email to request a guide on making public comments.
SCANNELL:
There will be representatives from Scannell, their new attorney team, and a few folks from the area in support of the project in attendance. Please ignore them at the meeting - focus only on our goal of stopping the mega-warehouse - don't let them throw you off your game. Most importantly do not speak to them at all.
AGITATORS:
It is likely that a few outside agitators will wear black and try to make a scene, be offensive, or otherwise purposely misspeak on behalf of the coalition. If this happens do not interact with the person, just record them and tell other coalition members so we are all aware.
