Please read this letter of opposition submitted by Pennsylvania House Representative Joseph Emrick. His proposed legislation requires that the decision-making power for these types of life-altering, massive developments be given to those residents who will be adversely impacted.

Approval of a project of this magnitude should not be decided by a small governing council that harbors a total disregard for the constituents’ well-being and quality of life. Their approval was based on a business model in which a multinational entity takes advantage of local taxpayers and adversely affects their lives by placing an undue burden on their health, environment and economy for generations to come.
