The ruling elites of Ukraine and Russian Federation (along with the propagandists that push for public support of the war) appear to push for a clear and undisputed win in the war. But do the majority of the people in these nations share such uncompromising positions? The Kremlin certainly keeps a close eye on (often closed) public polls of its citizens. It appears that the support for war has dropped in the Russian capital though apparently the majority of its population still supports it.
Back in late September 70% of Ukranians supported a war until victory and only 26% were in favor of negotiating to end it as soon as possible.

I hope that the coming Holiday Season will change the public opinion towards the war in favor of peace.
