As a result of the war Ukraine has changed from being a country run by compradore elites to the most determined country in Europe with strong central leadership.  Despite relentless bombardment that is literally taking the country back to the dark ages, the spirit of the Ukrainian people may be higher than that of any other nation in the world.  Perhaps this matches a prediction by Nostradamus (who said "Not that I am foolish enough to claim to be a prophet.") of "renewal of the Church by one from the 50th degree of latitude", with Kiev located appropriately to that statement.

After Andrew, "Apostle of Rus′" traveled to Khersones (of Crimea) to baptize several thousand men he also is said to have traveled to where Kiev will be built in the 5th century and to predict that it would become a center of the Eastern Orthodox faith in Rus′.  Can Kiev regain that status?

Has the time come to elevate Kiev to a status of one of guarantors of peace in Europe?  Could that be what Moscow agrees to as its main concession in the peace process?  Can both West and East bless Ukraine to be a truly sovereign, "незалежная" country?
