Stalemate - ceasefire a real option

It appears that war is at a stalemate.  Since forfeiture of Herson city neither VSRF or VSU have not made any significant advances.  Continuing airstrikes are not having an effect on the resolve of the Ukranian leadership.  Everything is pointing to a military stalemate.  It appears that a ceasefire may be a real option in the coming weeks, certainly by New Year and Eastern Orthodox Christmas.
