Stop the Violation of Privacy in the Log Cabin Pub's Restrooms
The issue
Drawing from my own unsettling experience, I’ve seen firsthand how a female guard brazenly peeped over a stall in the girl's bathroom at the Log Cabin pub, despite clear communication from the occupant. Adding to the distress, instances of male security guards overstepping their bounds have been no less disturbing.
Male security have been abusing the amount of power given within their contracts and training, unruly behaviours using excessive force, initiating conflict being incicive to patrons, illegal use of weapons (knuckle busters), instigated attacks by waiting for patrons to leave then brawling in venues carpark, patrons being dropped on their heads out on the concrete for no justified reason, kicked out for unknown reasons that lead to the patron feeling confused, irritated and angry, resulting in violent behaviour due to, being mocked & pushed by these guards, Misuse of power, "just because I can, I don't have to give you a reason!". Female security Punching into patrons on the ground in front of the venue. Accusing mothers during early dinner that she certainly was "racking up" in the bathroom, all whilst her family was there.
I am requesting that laundy hotels either re-trains their security and management or replaces them all together.
As it stands today, bathroom privacy, especially in public establishments, is a fundamental right that must be upheld. Shockingly, such violations are not unheard of - an alarming 1 in 10 women have reported experiencing voyeurism in public restrooms (this is just to pin point it's already happening in other ways)(Pavlidis & Fullagar, 2012). It cannot be denied that the intrusion of privacy at the Log Cabin pub has surpassed basic decency and respect for individuals' rights to privacy.
The time has come for the Log Cabin 'Laundy Hotels' to take definitive action. We are calling on the pub's management to uphold the highest standards of respect for human rights by instating strict guidelines on bathroom privacy. Moreover, the pub must ensure proper training for their security personnel, including firm instructions to respect privacy.
By signing this petition, you are taking a stand against inappropriate invasions of privacy. Demand that the Log Cabin 'Laundy Hotels' make its bathrooms safer, more welcoming, and respectful for all customers. Sign the petition today!
