Stop the Use of Styrofoam Lunch Trays in CCISD!

The Issue

Every day, thousands of styrofoam lunch trays are thrown away across CCISD. Once discarded, they will end up in landfills and take up to 500 years to decompose. Once it has broken down, microplastics will continue to move through animals and plants, harming them on the way. Not only will these microplastics harm animals, they will also harm students- when we eat off of styrofoam trays, we ingest plastic, which degrades our health. Let’s use reusable trays and protect our environment. * Names mean more for the petition than an anonymous signature- if you are in CCISD, then please write your name, then @ccisd.
