Hello, if your reading this, we assume you have heard of and are fond of the app called TIKTOK. Tiktok is a fantastic platform to express yourself, and uplift others. Me and my friends use this app to do just that. For many of my friends and fellow creators, tiktok is a full time job and not just a app. Some of my fellow creators, and probably some of your favorite creators have actually achieved a celebrity status following through this app. Some of my fellow creators such as COMEDIC_CODY worked hard for a following of over 3 million followers. 

Unfortunately, due to the severely flawed reporting and banning policies currently utilized by TikTok, positive content creators are being wrongfully reported and permanently banned! 

Content moderators are employees assigned by tiktok to monitor content and flag it if its against the rules of tiktok, however, content moderators are now using their power to ban and target creators just for speaking out against policies that tiktok deploys. This is wrong. Also, when a creator gets a violation for a video duet or stitch, the original video is allowed to remain on the platform, but does not go against community guidelines. In addition, when an account is banned, creators who have stitched or dueted a video of a banned account, also get a community guidelines violation. Violations need to be clear and concise. "VIDEO VIOLATES APPLICABLE LAWS" is not acceptable, especially when it is clear that no LAWS are actually being broken.

Smaller accounts are using their following to "mass report " creators and popular entities on the app, in a effort to get them banned. And it is working. It is not fair or right. Creators like myself and the people within this petition, have been kicked out of the creator fund, and banned from their monies that they have earned. This presents a financial hardship and loss of income due to these unjust bans, however...videos from these creators are still up on tiktok, generating revenue that tiktok collects money from. This is fraud. 

We are politely asking that tiktok and the higher level managers and executives, reform the banning and appeal procedure. The current appeal procedure doesnt even allow you to attach screenshots as it suggests or write a defense for your ban or appeal. We are also asking for a reinstatement of the following accounts and an executive audit into the conduct of the "content moderators" assigned to these accounts.
