I am writing this petition as a concerned friend of several owners of bully dog breeds. These dogs, often misunderstood and stigmatized, are not the problem. The issue lies with their owners and how they are raised. It is unfair to label an entire breed as dangerous based on the actions of a few individuals.

It has come to our attention that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has initiated actions that discriminate against these breeds. This generalization is unjust and does not take into account the individual behavior of each dog or the responsibility of their owner.

According to statistics from American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), breed is a poor sole predictor of dog bites. Studies show that factors such as socialization, training, management by the owner, and treatment are more reliable predictors (AVMA).

We urge Mr. Sunak to reconsider his stance on bully breeds and focus on promoting responsible pet ownership instead. Let's stop blaming innocent animals for human mistakes.
