Dear Supporter
Opposition to the proposed Burswood racetrack has been gaining momentum in the past few months with locals, broader community and politicians speaking against the development!
- A Parliamentary Petition calling on Legislative Council to support an inquiry into the project planning and expenditure, received a total of 6,919 signatures
- On the same day the Petition was lodged, protestors rallied at Parliament House
- Politicians have also been vocal in their opposition, putting their support behind locals and calling upon the government to abandon the project!
Now, you too can have your say!
This weekend, a series of Community Drop-In Sessions are being held at Optus Stadium, giving the public the opportunity to speak directly with the project planning team about their concerns.
If you want to attend, all you need to do is rock up at the Stadium during one of these times:
WHERE:
Optus Stadium, near GATE D
WHEN:
Thursday 12 June (3pm-7pm), Friday 13 June (3pm-7pm), Saturday 14 June (3pm-5.30pm), and Sunday 15 June (1.30pm-4pm).
The weekend sessions coincide with AFL football games, so please keep this in mind.
If you can't attend one of these sessions, you can still have your say by emailing the Project Team at pesp@mainroads.wa.gov.au
Thanks for your support and keep up the fight to stop this development!
Sincerely,
Supporter, Save Burswood Park
