Hello there. Here is a sequence of uplifting messages (including some info which might be useful to you) posted posted on Bluesky yesterday by‪ Guardian and Observer NUJ‬ ‪@gonuj.org‬ (NUJ is  the National Union of Journalists):

We'd love to see you to join us on Wednesday and Thursday (Dec 4 and 5) , any time of day, outside the Guardian (90 York Way, London N1 9GU) for chats, songs, speeches and, of course that striking essential ... cake.

So we had an incredibly empowering NUJ meeting yesterday. Almost 500 people (a record) attended in person and online, and there was unanimity about the need to strike to save the Obs. ✊🏽✊✊🏿

One of the most powerful feelings to emerge from yesterday's NUJ meeting was shame at how our management is acting in trying to give away Britain's oldest Sunday newspaper to a broke startup and pride at our unity in standing up for true Guardian values

Messages of support are coming in for Guardian/Obs journalists.
Here's one from the milkman of human kindness himself,  @billybragg.bsky.social
.
"The Tortoise deal sounds like a stitch up!  In solidarity. Billy.'

And here's another message of support from the great actor and social justice campaigner Sheila Hancock: "I am deeply worried about what's happening. The Observer and Guardian must not be diminished in any way."

And here's one from God's own poet Lemn Sissay: "Absolute bag of shite [the sale, not the NUJ). You are the guardians doing what a Guardian should. Guarding!!!" Lemn is one of a number of poets, singers & royals hoping to join us on Wednesday (OK we made up the bit about royals)

Thank you once more
