After weeks of collaboration with political parties, negotiations and the involvement of media outlets, we finally have some uplifting news to share.

Recently, I, alongside Serge Thomann, had the opportunity to meet with senior delegates from Australia Post's retail and community engagement teams right here on the streets of St Kilda. We walked them through the area, highlighting the challenges firsthand: the disarray, the lack of accessible parking, and the presence of less fortunate individuals, some struggling with substance abuse. The need for change was undeniable.

I am deeply grateful to Kate Foley and her team for their commitment to reinstating parcel locker services in the Acland Street district and for their willingness to explore opportunities for PO BOX services. Their dedication to addressing our community's needs is truly commendable.

Since our meeting, Australia Post has engaged with Acland Court management and is actively negotiating the installation of parcel lockers and other secure, accessible, and safe services.

Although this progress does not restore all services to the district, it marks a significant and hopeful step forward. It ensures community safety and helps maintain vital services for our neighbourhood.
